AOKT Studio is a full-service architecture and interior architecture firm. We approach our work with curiosity, compassion and rigor. We adore the particulars of each project and our relationship with each client. We make useful buildings and considerate places. Our hope for each one is that it can be a million times complete in its existence: to flex, to elevate, thrill, be co-conspirator, hold joy, harbor safety, preserve memories, enliven dreams, to function, to sing and inspire beauty.

Amy Kassler-Taub, RA NCARB draws on 20 years of in-depth, hands-on experience. Amy graduated from Auburn University and participated in the Rural Studio and Auburn’s Center for Architecture and Urban Studies. She also completed a design-build studio with the University of Manitoba. She holds a Bachelor of Architecture and a Bachelor of Interior Architecture and is currently a licensed architect in PA and NJ.

While living in Philadelphia, Amy had the honor of working with firms and colleagues at SMP Architects (formerly Susan Maxman and Partners), Stanev Potts Architects and URBN Free People prior to forming AOKT Studio. At SMP, Amy was project designer for Germantown Friends School Science Center, recipient for the National AIA/CAE Education Award of Excellence, ED+C Educational Category for Excellence in Design Honorable Mention. While at Stanev Potts, Amy was project designer and project manager for the award winning Box Weave House (AIA PA Emerging Professionals Award and Exhibition) and Lightbox House (AIA Philadelphia Divine Detail) among several other projects. At Free People, Amy was project designer for several key retail and wholesale projects, fixture design and special projects.

Amy teaches an architecture studio at Jefferson University. In ongoing service, Amy is active on community boards and committees, and had the good fortune to work with the Philadelphia Community Design Collaborative.

In alignment with her work, Amy has undertaken material prototyping, fabrication, installation, styled photo shoots, operated backhoes, walked a catwalk above Times Square, and looks forward to more.
